External Process Sales Engineer – Industrial division

National Separations, a leading supplier of filtration systems, requires an industrial process sales engineer in the Gauteng area. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating sales and new business development across the Gauteng area and in time potentially for position into National Sales Portfolio.
Vacancy Requirements
Product knowledge
- Production processes and applications in relevant industries – Petrochemical/Chemical, Water Purification, Power Generation, Automative, Digital Ink, Paint and Polymer.
- Filters cartridges and bag filters.
- Filter sizing for liquids and gasses.
- Housing selection.
Skills and experience
- Experienced in industrial process equipment sales.
- 3-5 years minimum experience in an external sales role.
- Experience selling to industrial process markets (food, beverage and pharmaceutical).
- Experience in selling an international brand and end-user selling is beneficial.
- Strong technical skills with a related or similar industry background.
- Proven successful key account management experience.
- Solid track record in securing sales and expanding client base.
- Proven experience in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Good understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
- Proven networking and negotiation skills.
- Innovative with client solutions.
- Accurate and reliable reporting skills/experience.

Qualifications
- Matric certificate.
- An engineering or relevant qualification would be ideal.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Maintain and strengthen existing client relationships and key accounts.
- Aggressively seek new business opportunities through research & networking.
- Achieve agreed annual sales budgets.
- Assist key-end clients with projects and specification development.
- Demonstration of equipment to clients and assist with installations.
- Maintain an elevated level of product knowledge and industry regulations.
- Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific client and industry targets.
- Completion and submission of tenders.
- Prepare sales and technology presentation material as required.
